Jonathan K. Weedman received his Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Lewis and Clark College in 2002. He holds a current license with the state of Oregon. Jonathan was born in Idaho and raised on a ranch in the Owyhee Desert. Once he completed his high school education he attended Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho where he was able to excel as a student in Psychology. He worked closely with professors and presented at a variety of conferences including a presentation to the American Psychological Association on nonviolence conflict resolution and completed research in sexuality development. He was awarded the Outstanding Student Award in Psychology from LCSC in 1999.

He came to Portland in 1999 and began his graduate work at Lewis and Clark College. He worked as a Residential Treatment Counselor at The Christie School before moving to a case management position at Network Behavioral Healthcare. Upon finishing his MA he became an outpatient mental health therapist at Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare and soon became the Program Director for the Sexual Minority Youth Resource Center. After many years in this position he moved to working with children in a private school setting.

Jonathan is a skilled clinician with experience in treating a variety of mental health disorders. He is comfortable working with clients from the age of 4 through retirement. He is skilled in using multiple forms of counseling strategies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. He uses an eclectic approach that is appropriate for the client and their needs. He approaches his work with humor, integrity, and compassion. He is dedicated to the art and science of counseling and therapy.
